Emily DeMaio, who starred as Whatsername in The Actors Studio of New Jersey's (ASNJ) recent production of Green Day's "American Idiot: In Concert," shares her insights on the groundbreaking performance that took place on December 20, 2024, at The Dunellen Theater.
DeMaio describes the production as a "transformative experience," praising the warm and professional environment fostered by ASNJ. The fast-paced rehearsal process, while challenging, pushed her outside her comfort zone in an empowering way. “The raised stage and concert-style format made me feel like a true rockstar, allowing me to unleash my performance in a new and exhilarating way," DeMaio remarked.
